Love those things you hate, it’s good for you. Part 2
The song you are about to read was dictated on my iPhone and scribble down in my songwriting notebook, It was edited while skiing up and down the river, And again now as I dictated it into this magic device. Magic. Magical Morning Meanderings. Magical musical morning meanderings. Something about an alliteration I love.
THREE BY FOUR SUNRISE
Three by four window, same size as a big flat screen TV
The cabin is a dark behind me, Full moon over the mountains is all I see
Last call, last dance Time to hang it up for another night
But The moon is in love with a glacier, He’s not going down without a fight
both guns blazing bright —the bad sunrise comes riding into town
He slowly struts his colors knowing he’s the hottest thing around
He directs his affection down on the cold two-timing glacier ice
he’s winning- she starts melting-she says “Mr. Sunrise that feels oh so nice”
I wouldn’t change channels if I could
This love story’s just now getting good
If you don’t like the shape(color) of the mountain range
Stick around for a while she’s bound to change
Just a little light drama in the morning sky
It’s a three by four sunrise
Little Love drama in the morning sky, three by four sunrise
Brown bear claws left deep gashes in the tattered window screens
Squashed mosquitoes stains and smudges don’t know when that window last was cleaned
You’re looking through the layers and you,re reading a dying history
Stories of the cabin, moonlit mountains, Sunrise in the trees
I’m gazing down the grass flats, endlessly coming back from night
Brave morning shadows are dancing with the bashful morning light
The valley is slowly rising and she’s slipping on her golden morning dress
I’m part of that pattern — and she holds me safely to her breast
I am fiber I am fabric–– I am part of (all those) (nature,s) patterns I love best
Chorus:
I wouldn’t change channels if I could
This love story’s just now getting good
If you don’t like the shape(color) of the mountain range
Stick around for a while she’s bound to change
Just a little light drama in the morning sky
It’s a three by four sunrise
Little Love drama in the morning sky, three by four sunrise
Voila, (had to type that word in by hand Little dictating gremlin inside my laptop apparently does not do French), There is my new rough masterpiece. You will notice some parentheses where I have not yet decided which way to go,which rabbit trail to take. So, to you, my early-morning readers and hopefully soon, listeners, as I plan to start doing some podcasts, whatever they are. But my social media guru (SMG) assures me that we could be a good fit, been a singer songwriter story teller performer all my life, so why not try a little podding? Casting? Makes me think of that quote from the Bible, something about casting your net upon the waters, might be the same with podcasting!
So as I was trying to say before all those rude rabbit trails interrupted me, I invite you to choose which parentheses you like better. If it’s pretty even stephen I will decide, Otherwise I will go along with the simple majority. I look forward to it. Professionally, I do need to let you know, that will not in any way make you a cowriter. Just another member of my special and elite song critiquing club. Maybe I will start just such a club. A rabbit trail for another day.

Very grateful for you and your blog Atz. Wish your show was on 365 days a year. You and your family are such a great inspiration.
Great words of wisdom man! Keep doing what you enjoy!
My husband and I are musicians too..we love your show and your songs..❤️❤️❤️
Magnificent magical musical morning meanderings! HaHa I learned a new word today, alliteration. Funny thing is, I do that quite often. Me and my grandkids think it’s funny. I think (color) and (nature’s) is a nice fit. The sky changes everyday and if your blinders are on, you’ll miss Mother Nature’s show. By the way, I wouldn’t change the channel either, on that 3 x 4 flat screen!
Your BLOG is so relaxing and pulls us away from what we have been programmed to think, fee, and do. This is definitely an escape and I enjoy it fully. Thanks.
I like “color” and “all those.”
Love ATLF and your family.
Very Great song!,, Beautiful picture also…
If you don’t like the COLOR of the mountain range
I am part of nature’s pattern I love best
Love COLOR and NATURE’S … great song ! I don’t have views as beautiful as yours, I’m surrounded by pasture and wheat fields, but I crawl out of bed in the morning cold to light the fire and I’m very thankful to have my wide open spaces and immediate connection with nature <3
